Hello!

Here is my take on this week’s Color ThrowDown challenge. Wanda has chosen a combo of primary colors that is very challenging to me. I love pairing blue and red, red and yellow or blue and yellow but I’m always in trouble when it comes to combine those three colors together. Anyway, here is the card I came up with.

Voici ma participation au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine, et je peux dire que le combo de couleurs primaires proposé par Wanda m’a donné du fil à retordre. J’associe facilement le rouge et le jaune, le jaune et le bleu ou encore  le bleu et le rouge. Mais, lorsqu’il s’agit d’utiliser ces trois couleurs ensemble, c’est une autre paire de manches et je ne suis plus très à l’aise.  Ne voulant pas baisser les bras, j’ai tout de même réussi à faire une carte et voici ce que cela donne :

CAS Colours & Sketches #447 – Sketch

CAS Colours & Sketches #447 – Sketch

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by this week’s sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches.  As soon as I saw the sketch I thought of big ribbon bow for the vertical strip. And I chose a hot pink satin ribbon that makes nearly all the job and calls for a very simple design. I just added a black diecut snowflake and a gold sequin to finish my card.

Voici mon interprétation du sketch proposé pour le challenge CAS Colours & Sketches de cette semaine. En découvrant le sketch, la bande verticale m’a immédiatement fait penser à un gros nœud de ruban. J’ai choisi un ruban de satin rose vif dont la taille et la couleur appellent à une grande simplicité  dans la conception de la carte. Je me suis donc limitée à ajouter un flocon découpé dans du papier noir et rehaussé d’un unique sequin or.

Hello!

I totally love the color palette Vickie has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge! These colors are just perfect for a holliday card. And I love them even more when paired with kraft. Since we are free to add any neutrals we need for our projects, I chose to go with a kraft card base.

j’aime beaucoup le combo proposé par Vickie pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Ce sont des couleurs  absolument parfaites pour une carte de vœux. Et j’aime tout particulièrement les associées à du kraft. Aussi, comme le règlement de Color Throwdown nous autorise à ajouter des couleurs neutres à celle du combo, j’ai pris la liberté de faire une carte en kraft, un autre de mes chouchous pour les cartes de fin d’année.

Guest Designer at Addicted to CAS #211 – Colourful

xx ATCAS - GUEST DESIGNERI am so thrilled to be invited as Guest Designer at Addicted To CAS for this week’s challenge. The code word is « Colourful » and it inspired me a super simple but very colorful christmas card. I diecut the tree out of a colorful striped paper (a very old one) and added an orange ribbon bow. As the colors make all the job, I didn’t add anything else except for the sentiment.

xx #211J’ai la joie d’ invitée créative pour le challenge Addicted To CAS de la quinzaine. Le mot code est « Coloré ». Cela m’a donné envie d’une carte de Noël simplissime mais vitaminée et qui claque. J’ai découpé le sapin dans un trèèèèèès ancien papier à rayures colorées et je lui ai ajouté un noeud de gros grain orange. Les couleurs étant bien présentes, je n’ai rien ajouté d’autre à part le sentiment.

CAS Colours & Sketches #446 – Colours

CAS Colours & Sketches #446 – Colours

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by this week’s color palette over at CAS Colours & Sketches.  As usual I kept my card super simple with a lot of white space and just some hints of the required colors. I created a bauble using a circular sentiment that I heat embossed in silver. I added a silver twine, 2 diecut pine boughs an pink ribbon bow and I was done.

Voici mon interprétation du combo proposé pour le challenge CAS Colours & Sketches de cette semaine. Comme à mon habitude, je suis restée minimaliste avec beaucoup de blanc et juste quelques touches de couleur (celle du combo).  J’ai crée une boule de Noël avec ce joli sentiment en cercle que j’ai embossé en argent. J’ai juste ajouté un peu de ficelle argent, de branches de pin et un nœud réalisé avec du gros grain rose et rien d’autre.

Less Is More #456 : Silhouette

Less Is More #456 : Silhouette

Hello!

Here is my take on the current Less Is More challenge. The cue word is « silhouette » and I chose to play with that leaf print stamp I love so much. Instead of classical a black siIhouette, I decided to make the leaf silhouettes using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder for a tone on tone effect. I just hope it still meets the challenge theme.

Voici ma participation au challenge Less Is More en court. Le thème est « Silhouette » et j’ai choisi de jouer avec ce set de tampons « empreintes de feuilles » que j’aime tant. En revanche, plutôt que les classiques silhouettes tamponnées en noir, j’ai préféré réaliser un effet en ton sur ton  sur du kraft avec un jeu de masquage et de l’embossage à la Versamark et à la poudre transparente. J’espère que je suis malgré tout encore dans le thème du défi.

Hello!

Today’s card was inspired by the fabulous color palette Lynn has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. It includes brown and I just couldn’t resist showcasing again this gorgeous brown cardstock that makes me think of some chocolate box…  No need to say I’m crazy about dark chocolate 😉 I assumed that copper could stand for the rust color and I diecut the snowflake out of some copper foil paper. 

La carte du jour répond au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine où Lynn nous propose un très joli combo de couleurs chaudes. Il contient du marron et; bien sûr,  j’ai sauté sur l’occasion pour utiliser à nouveau ce superbe papier qui me fait penser à une boîte de chocolats …  Je sais, je suis gourmande 😉 Je me suis autorisée à découper le flocon dans un papier cuivré en me disant que cette teinte pouvait parfaitement faire office de la couleur rouille demandée.

CAS Colours & Sketches #445 – Sketch

CAS Colours & Sketches #445 – Sketch

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by this week’s sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches. I stayed very close to the sketch and chose to go with a super simple design, two die cuts , a heat embossed sentiment, a thread and that’s it. I love to play with unusual color palettes and the one I chose for this card makes me think of a chocolate box, isn’t it perfect for a Season’s greetings card.

Voici mon interprétation du sketch proposé pour le challenge CAS Colours & Sketches de cette semaine. Je suis restée très proche du sketch demandé et ai opté pour une carte simplissime, deux décopes, un sentiment embossé en or, fil et rien de plus.  J’adore jouer avec des couleurs inhabituelles, et celles que j’ai choisies pour cette carte me font penser à une boîte de chocolats … ne sont-elles pas parfaites pour une carte de vœux ?

Addicted to CAS #210 – Circle

Addicted to CAS #210 – Circle

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by the current Addicted To CAS challenge. The code word is circle and it provided me with a perfect occasion to showcase this « Fancy Deer Circle » die I love so much. Actually, I made two cards. To create the first one, I diecut the circle twice, once out of peach cardstock and once out of some copper foil, which left me with two circles in reverse corlors.

La carte du jour répond au challenge Addicted To CAS de la quinzaine où le mot code est « Cercle ». Cela m’a donné une excellente occasion de ressortir cette matrice de coupe que j’aime beaucoup. En fait, ce n’est pas une, mais deux cartes que je vous présente. En effet, pour faire la première carte, j’ai découpé le cercle deux fois, un fois en pêche et une fois en cuivre. Ce qui m’a laissé avec de quoi recomposer deux cercles aux couleurs inversées.

Hello!

Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. I’m glad the color palette Lori has chosen provided me with another great occasion to create a non-traditional Christmas card. I formed a wreath layering plenty of stars die cut out of various papers in the required colors. As I wanted to keep my card rather simple, I just added a twine bow, the numbers 2 and 5 and stamped a sentiment. 

La carte du jour répond au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Je suis ravie que le combo proposé par Lori m’ait donné une nouvelle occasion de faire une carte de Noël aux couleurs non traditionnelles. J’ai composé une couronne en superposant plein de petites étoiles découpées dans des papiers aux couleurs demandées. Je souhaitais que cette carte reste sobre, j’ai donc simplement ajouté un nœud en ficelle, les chiffres 2 et 5 et tamponné un sentiment.
