Hi there,

I come in a hurry to enter my card onto the current FUSION challenge. There are only a few hours left before the linky to close. I played with both the inspiration photo and the layout. I flipped the sketch upside down, and got inspired from the flowers on the sweet image. The sentiment means « A bunch of flowers for you » which can be a way to say « Thank you ».

C’est sur le fil que je viens ici poster ma carte pour le challenge FUSION de cette quinzaine. Il ne reste que quelques heures avant la fermeture. J’ai utilisé le sketch, que j’ai retourné et me suis inspirée de la photo dont j’ai repris les fleurs pour faire un bouquet. Un bouquet est aussi une façon de dire merci …

FUSION – Mother’s Day.

Hi there,

I come today with my take on this fortnight’s FUSION challenge. Though it may not be obvious, I did use the sketch and the photo as inspiration. The oval stands for the tag shape. The twig and the bold sentiment are for the two banners. As for the photo, it inspired me the love theme with this two loving birds. I hope I didn’t strech the challenge theme too far! 

Voici ma carte répondant au challenge FUSION de cette quinzaine. Bien que cela puisse ne pas être évident, j’ai suivi le sketch et ai utilisé la photo comme source d’inspiration. Un ovale remplace la forme d’étiquette, la branche et le sentiment tiennent lieu des deux bannières. Quant à la photo, elle m’a donné envie de faire une carte sur le thème de l’amour avec ce petit couple d’oiseaux. J’espère ne pas avoir poussé le bouchon trop loin 😉

Hi there,

I come today with a card that was inspired by this fortnight’s FUSION challenge. I played with both the sketch and the photo. I love poppies, they are such graceful and dainty flowers and I love their vibrant colors.

Voici ma carte répondant au challenge FUSION de cette quinzaine. Cette fois encore, j’ai joué la fusion, j’ai utilisé le sketch et me suis inspirée de la photo. J’aime beaucoup les coquelicots, ce sont des fleurs très délicates aux couleurs intenses et flamboyantes.

FUSION – Bee Kind.

FUSION – Bee Kind.

Hi there,

Though there is no bee on my card, it’s been inspired by the current FUSION Challenge. I played with both the sketch and the inspiration photo. Obvisouly, I stretched the sketch a little bit. I turned it into a landscape format and the big stamped « Bonheur » (which means Happiness) stands for the bottom shape. As for the photo, the butterfly is a substitute for the bee but I colored it a bit like a bee and I created a light blue background which reminds the one on the photo. 

Vous ne trouverez pas d’abeille sur ma carte. Et pourtant, c’est bien ma participation au challenge FUSION de la quinzaine.  Comme à chaque fois, j’ai joué à la fois avec le sketch et la photo d’inspiration. Bon d’accord, c’est une interprétation plutôt libre du sketch , je l’ai transformé en format paysage et le tampon « Bonheur » XXL joue le rôle de la partie inférieure.  Quant à la photo, j’ai juste substitué un papillon à l’abeille, mais je l’ai un peu colorisé comme l’abeille. et je l’ai positionné sur un fond bleu ciel qui rappelle celui de la photo. Bref, j’ai pris quelques libertés (comme souvent devrais-je dire 😉 ) mais mon inspiration vient bien de là.

FUSION – Easter Eggs.

FUSION – Easter Eggs.

Hi there,

There’s not a single egg on today’s card, nor even anything related to Easter. Yet, it is my take on the current FUSION Challenge. I played with both the sketch and the inspiration photo. The black and white striped square is from the tea towel and the colors of the container. I colored the cherry bloom using the eggs’ color scheme and the sentiment tabs are from the label on the container. It’s always such a fun to pick some elements on a photo to try and create something different. This is the reason why I love the FUSION challenges so much! 

Pas un seul œuf sur cette carte, ni même quoi que ce soit en rapport avec Pâques. Et pourtant, c’est bien ma participation au challenge FUSION du moment.  J’ai joué à la fois avec le sketch et la photo d’inspiration. Je me suis inspirée du torchon et des couleurs du récipients pour le carré rayé noir et blanc. J’ai colorisé la fleur de cerisier  aux de couleurs des œufs et les petites étiquettes sentiment rappellent l’étiquette du récipient. C’est un exercice toujours très amusant que de choisir quelques éléments d’une photo pour essayer d’en sortir quelques chose de différent. C’est la raison pour laquelle j’aime beaucoup les challenges proposés par FUSION. 

J’ai profité de l’occasion pour dépoussiérer ce « vieux » die « Fleur de cerisier » de 4enscrap que j’e n’avais pas utilisé depuis  des lustres … Il a la forme idéale pour tenir le rôle de l’ovale du sketch. Et puis, il mérite bien d’être remis sur le devant de la scène.

FUSION – Green.

Hi there,

Here is my take on the current FUSION challenge. I played with both the sketch and the photo. The photo inspired me to create a kind of flower using plenty of sequins in various sizes and various shades of green. The tricky job was to glue them all one by one.

Voici ma participation au challenge FUSION en cours. J’ai suivi le sketch et la photo m’a inspiré cette composition de sequins évoquant une fleur. J’ai utilisé pas mal de paillettes de tailles différentes et dans divers tons de vert. Le plus long a été de les coller toutes une par une.

FUSION – Rainbow dress.

Here is my take on the current FUSION challenge. Obviously, I used the sketch for the lay-out. And, though there is no dress, no rainbow and not even a unicorn on my card, I still got inspired by several elements of the photo. I watercolored the leafy branch using a pastel rainbow color scheme. The thread tassel behind the branch stands for the ribbons on the little girl’s belt. It hardly shows on my photos but the threads are in various pastel colors.

Voici ma participation au challenge FUSION en cours. De façon évidente, j’ai suivi le sketch proposé. Et, bien qu’il n’y ait ni arc-en-ciel, ni robe, ni même une licorne sur ma carte, je me suis bel et bien inspirée de différents éléments de la photo. J’ai aquarellé la branche de feuilles en suivant le combo de couleurs pastel de la robe. La pendouille de fils rappelle les rubans à la ceinture de la petite fille. Bien que cela soit à peine visible, j’ai également utilisé des fils de différentes couleurs pastel.

This masculine valentine’s card is for the current FUSION  challenge. I played with both the sketch and the inspiration photo.  There are no Gnome and not even a single heart on my card, yet, I definitely got inspired from various elements from the photo : most of all the love theme and the neutral color scheme but also some smaller details such as the letters (the word above the door) or the wooden board with a black arrow. 

Cette carte de Saint Valentin (ou autre message d’amour)  plutôt masculine répond au challenge  FUSION en cours. J’ai suivi le sketch et me suis inspirée de la photo. Bien qu’il n’y ait aucun gnome et pas même un seul cœur sur ma carte, je me suis  pourtant bien appuyée sur la photo dont, de façon évidente,  j’ai repris le thème de l’amour et le combo de couleurs neutres, mais également plusieurs petits détails tels que les lettres (le mot au dessus de la porte), la planche de bois avec la flèche noir.

Here is my take on the current FUSION  challenge. I created this wedding card by pairing the sketch with various elements from the inspiration photo. I got inspired by the color scheme, the leafy/flowery branches, the window (the vellum square in my card), the brush (the sisal twine in my card).

It’s been quite a while since I last played along with FUSION Card Challenge and I’m glad to join in for the current challenge (ending in few hours). I rotated the sketch and got some inspiration from various elements on the photo : the color scheme, the gingham pattern, the black chalkboard and the pop of red. To mimic the chalkboard, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a black tag. « Toi & Moi » means « You and Me »

Cela fait un sacré bout de temps que je n’ai pas participé à un challenge de FUSION et je suis ravie de pouvoir enfin le faire aujourd’hui (le challenge en cours se termine dans quelques heures). J’ai fait pivoter le sketch et me suis inspirée de nombreux détails de la photo proposée : le combo, le motif vichy, le tableau noir et pour finir, la touche de rouge  Pour évoquer le tableau noir , j’ai embossé à chaud le sentiment sur une étiquette noire.
