It’s been quite a while since I last played along with Less Is More and I’m glad to be able to join in for the current challenge. Its’ a color challenge and we are to play with pink and gold. I just couldn’t miss this color scheme. I chose to go with a Mothers’ Day card featuring a gold embossed background and a pink watercolored flower.

Cela fait un sacré bout de temps que je n’ai pas participé à un challenge Less Is More et je suis ravie d’avoir pu trouver le temps de faire une carte pour le défi en cours, in extremis puisqu’il se termine demain soir. C’est un combo et les couleurs demandées sont rose et or. J’en ai profité pour réaliser une carte pour la fête des mères avec un fond embossé en or en une fleur aquarellée en rose.

Less Is More #456 : Silhouette

Less Is More #456 : Silhouette

Hello!

Here is my take on the current Less Is More challenge. The cue word is « silhouette » and I chose to play with that leaf print stamp I love so much. Instead of classical a black siIhouette, I decided to make the leaf silhouettes using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder for a tone on tone effect. I just hope it still meets the challenge theme.

Voici ma participation au challenge Less Is More en court. Le thème est « Silhouette » et j’ai choisi de jouer avec ce set de tampons « empreintes de feuilles » que j’aime tant. En revanche, plutôt que les classiques silhouettes tamponnées en noir, j’ai préféré réaliser un effet en ton sur ton  sur du kraft avec un jeu de masquage et de l’embossage à la Versamark et à la poudre transparente. J’espère que je suis malgré tout encore dans le thème du défi.

Less Is More #455 : Winter Whites

Less Is More #455 : Winter Whites

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by the current Less Is More challenge. The cue code is « Winter Whites », hence, here is an almost all white Christmas card. I created a little winter scene playing with both texture (the embossed trees) and dimension (the popped up bear family) and only added a white and grey twine for a little bit more interest.

La carte d’aujourd’hui répond au challenge en court sur le blog Less Is More. La consigne est « Le blanc hivernal » … me voici donc avec une carte de Noël presque toute blanche. J’ai crée un petit paysage tout blanc en jouant sur les reliefs : embossage à froid pour les sapins et montage avec de la mousse 3D pour la famille d’ours. J’ai juste ajouté de la ficelle blanche et grise pour finaliser l’ensemble et souligner tout ce blanc.

Less Is More #454 : OLC – Autumnal (2)

Less Is More #454 : OLC – Autumnal (2)

Hello!

I come today with a second take on the current Less Is More challenge. We have to create an OLC autumnal card, this is such an inspiring theme. It provided me with a perfect occasion to showcase this gorgeous « Pierced Leaves » die set. This all white card needed a little something else to catch the eye, hence I allowed myself to add a copper eyelet and a twine bow. I just hope it still meets the OLC rules. 

Voici une seconde participation au challenge Less Is More de cette quinzaine. Le défi consiste à créer une carte automnale respectant les règles du « One-layer-card » (Carte à une seule couche où l’on travaille directement sur la base de la carte sans ajouter d’épaisseurs). Cela m’a donné une belle occasion de mettre en avant ce set de matrices de coupe « feuilles trouées » dont j’aime beaucoup la sobre élégance. Cette carte presque toute blanche demandait un petit quelque chose en plus pour attirer le regard. Aussi, me suis-je autorisée à ajouter un œillet cuivre et une ficelle. J’espère que cela ne constitue pas une trop grande entorse aux règles exigeantes du « One-layer-card » .

Less Is More #454 : OLC – Autumnal

Less Is More #454 : OLC – Autumnal

Well, I guess I’ve become addicted to Less Is More challenges 🙂  I come today with my take on the current challenge. which theme is to create an autumnal One-Layer-Card. I created the focal image by blending some autumnal color inks using a stencil, then I stamped a « leafy background » in black. I finished off by a heat embossed fall leaf and a sentiment.

Je crois bien que je suis devenue accro aux challenges de Less Is More. 🙂 Voici donc ma participation au challenge en cours il nous est demandé de créer une carte automnale mais, attention,  une carte à une seule couche ( « One-layer-card ») . J’ai commencé par appliquer des encres aux couleurs automnales à travers un pochoir, puis,  j’ai tamponné par dessus un fond feuillu. J’ai ensuite juste ajouté une empreinte de feuille embossée à chaud et un sentiment.

Less Is More #453 – Purple & Yellow (2)

Hello!

I come today with a second entry for the current Less Is More challenge. The required color scheme is very challenging to me but so inspiring, too. Or is it inspiring to me because it is challenging me? Anyway, here is another purple and yellow card. I kept it super simple with just a watercolor background and a stamped floral sprig. I guess it’s actually what « Less is More » means.

Voici une seconde participation au challenge Less Is More en cours. Le combo demandé est plutôt difficile pour moi, mais paradoxalement, je le trouve également très inspirant. Peut-être est-ce justement parce qu’il me pousse là où je ne vais pas naturellement. Quoi qu’il en soit, voici une seconde carte en violet et jaune, une carte simplissime avec juste un fond à l’aquarelle et un tamponnage. Après tout,  cela me paraît être typiquement dans l’esprit « Moins c’est plus » ( traduction littérale du nom du blog de challenge 😉 ).

Less Is More #453 – Purple & Yellow

Less Is More #453 – Purple & Yellow

Hello!

It’s the very first time I’m joining in a Less Is More challenge. It’s a color challenge and not an easy one since we have to pair purple and yellow. It’s a perfect color scheme for Halloween cards but I’m note very fond of Halloween, henceI chose to go with a kids birthday card featuring a purple teddy bear and yellow ballons. That teddy bear is a very old stamp, I don’t even remember who it is from.

Je participe pour la toute première fois à un challenge Less Is More. C’est un défi combo, et pas des plus simples puisqu’il nous est demandé d’associer du violet et du jaune. Ces couleurs sont parfaites pour une carte d’Halloween mais, n’étant pas très fan de ce thème, j’ai préféré opter pour une carte d’anniversaire enfantine avec un ours en peluche colorisé en violet tenant deux ballons jaunes. Cet ours est un tampon que j’ai de puis des lustres et je ne me souviens même plus de sa marque.
