I come in a hurry to enter my card into this week’s Color Throwdown challenge just a few minutes before the linky closes. The color palette Jodi has chosen made me want  to play with my watercolors. Here is the card I came up with.

Je viens en coup de vent et à la dernière minute pour entrer ma participation au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. La palette de couleurs choisie par Jodi m’a donné envie de ressortir mes aquarelles. Voici la carte que cela m’a inspirée.

Hello there,

Once again, this week’s   CAS(E) This Sketch challenge. inspired me a super simple card. It is so simple that there isn’t much to say about it . Except that I die cut the butterflies out of various scraps of patterned papers and that it took me quite a long time and several tries to choose the ones I will use.

Cette fois encore le challenge CAS(E) This Sketch de cette semaine m’ a inspiré une carte simplissime. Tellement simple même, que je n’ai pas grand chose à en  dire, si ce n’est que j’ai découpé les papillons dans différentes chutes de papiers imprimés et qu’il m’a fallu un certain temps et beaucoup de tergiversations avant de me décider sur ceux que j’allais utiliser.

Hi there,

I come today with a very colorful and cheerful birthday card that was inspired by the current FUSION Challenge. I played with both the sketch and the photo. The photo inspired me the bright color scheme and the sentiment made of diecut letters.

Pour aujourd’hui ce sera une carte d’anniversaire très festive et haute en couleurs. Elle répond au challenge FUSION en cours. J’ai joué avec le sketch et la photo dont j’ai repris les couleurs vives et le sentiment fait de lettres découpées (en rappel de la pancarte « SUMMER ») .

Hello!

Wow, there’s such a classy and trendy color palette this week at Color Throwdown! Amy has chosen Black, White and Terracotta. I totally love those 3 colors together! I chose to go with a very simple birthday card. I die cut the ballons out of a black and white patterned paper, terracotta cardstock and the smallest one out of some mat copper foil cardstock. I tied them a black sewing thread for the strings.

Je suis sous le charme du combo proposé par Amy pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Elle a choisi blanc, noir et terracotta, je trouve que ces couleurs ensemble sont très classe et très tendance aussi. J’ai opté pour une carte d’anniversaire très simple. Les ballons sont découpés dans un papier imprimé noir et blanc, un papier couleur terre de sienne (ou orange brûlé ou terracotta) et le plus petit dans un papier cuivré mat. Je leur ai noué un fil à coudre en guise de ficelle.

Hello there,

Here is my super simple take on this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge. Actually, this card is so simple that it didn’t require any diecut nor any stamp, except for the sentiment. A heart shape paperclip, some twine, a rhinestone and that’s it. The french sentiment roughly means « Bonds of the heart are the strongest »

Voici ma version ultra minimaliste du challenge CAS(E) This Sketch de cette semaine. Tellement minimaliste même, que je n’ai utilisé aucune découpe et, exception faite du sentiment, aucun tampon. Un trombone en forme de coeur , un peu de ficelle, un strass et c’est tout ce dont j’ai eu besoin.

Hello!

The color palette Broni has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge was a very challenging one for me … When I first saw it, the only thing I knew was that I didn’t want to go with flowers but I had no idea at all of what I could do. And then, I remembered of this fun fruit stamp set. I stamped the pineapple on water color paper, colored it using some yellow, green and orange watercolor and fussy cut it.

Les couleurs proposées par Broni pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine m’ont vraiment donné du fil a retordre. Lorsque j’ai vu le combo, la seule chose que je savais était que je ne voulais pas d’une carte avec des fleurs mais je n’avais pas la moindre idée de ce que je pourrais faire. Puis, je me suis souvenu de ce set de tampons de fruits … je tenais ma solution. J’ai tamponné l’ananas sur du papier aquarelle, l’ai aquarellé avec les couleurs du challenge puis, l’ai détouré.

Hello!

I come today with one more card featuring a gold butterfly. I can’t get enough of this Sizzix set of dies, and I love them even more when cut out of some gold or copper foil cardstock. They are just perfect for a quick and easy card. I only had to create a background by stamping a square 3 times using the color palette Barbara has chosen for
on this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.

Et encore une carte avec un grand papillon d’or. Je ne me lasse pas de ces matrices de coupe Sizzix et j’aime beaucoup les utiliser avec du papier or ou cuivre. Ces papillons sont tout simplement parfaits pour une carte rapide et facile à faire. J’ai juste eu à créer le fond en tamponnant un carré trois fois en utilisant les couleurs proposées par Barbara pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine.

Hello there,

I come in a hurry to enter my card into this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge. There’s only a few hours left and I don’t want to miss this great sketch. It inpsired me a rather vintage card which is not my usual style, yet I love how it turned out. I partly diecut the butterfly out of the white oval, diecut it again out of some gold foil cardstock, and then, I inlaid the the gold butterfly into the white oval.

Cette fois encore, c’est sur le fil que je viens poster ma participation au challenge CAS(E) This Sketch de cette semaine. Il ne reste que quelques heures et je ne voulais pas passer à côté de ce sketch.  Il m’a inspiré une carte un brin vintage et peut-être même un tantinet shabby , ce qui n’est pourtant pas mon style habituel ! Mais au final j’aime plutôt le résultat. Du shabby clean en quelques sortes … J’ai partiellement découpé le papillon dans l’ovale blanc, l’ai redécoupé une seconde fois dans du cardstock or puis, j’ai réinséré la papillon doré dans l’ovale blanc.

FUSION – Butterfly

Hi there,

I come in the very last minute to share the card I’m entering into the current FUSION challenge (closing in a few hours). There’s no butterfly on my card. There already are so many gorgeous entries featuring butterflies that I wanted to go with something different. Yet, I do played with the photo with blue as main color and this sailboat diecut whose sails recall the butterfly’s wings. And here I am with a masculine birthday card.

C’est sur le fil que je viens publier  ma participation au challenge FUSION en cours (clôture du challenge dans quelques heures). Pas de papillon pour moi., il y a déjà dans la galerie tant de superbes participations avec des papillons que j’ai souhaité trouver une autre option. Quoi qu’il en soit, en plus du sketch,  j’ai malgré tout suivi l’inspi de la photo avec le bleu en couleur dominante et cette découpe de voilier dont les voiles rappellent les ailes du papillon. Et me voici avec une carte d’anniversaire masculine.

Hello!

Here is my take on this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. Lynn picked a sweet and fresh color palette. Funnily enough, I created a card using the same color scheme just a few days ago (Here). Hence, I had to find something else and here is what I came up with. No pattern papers this time, I dabbed some pink and aqua ink, instead. I finished off the background by adhering some tiny gold star sequins.

Voici ma participation au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Lynn nous propose un combo pétillant et frais. Combo que j’avais justement utilisé il y a quelques jours à peine (ICI). J’ai donc dû trouver autre chose, et voici le résultat. Pas de papier imprimé, cette fois, mais un tamponnage d’encre rose et aqua (réalisé avec un doigt en mousse), agrémenté de mini sequins dorés en forme d’étoile.
