Hello there,

When I saw this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge, I immediately thought that it was a perfect sketch for a shaker card. I created the shaker pouch by die-cutting the bloom out of the front panel and inlaiding it back into the open space. I filled the pouch with tiny crystal Swarovski beads.

Lorsque j’ai vu le challenge CAS(E) This Sketch  de cette semaine, j’ai tout de suite pensé que c’était le sketch parfait pour une carte à secouer. J’ai découpé la fleur directement dans le panneau avant de ma carte puis l’ai réinsérée dans l’espace en négatif. Je l’ai rempli de petites perles en cristal Swarovski.

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. It’s a very simple design. I die-cut the butterfly out of a scrap of watercolor paper and I colored it in blue, purple and green using some watercolor. I applied some light blue ink on the background, and finish my card off with a heat embossed sentiment and two silver half-beads.  The sentiment means « Thinking of you »

La carte d’aujourd’hui répond au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine.Et, c’est encore un parti pris de minimalisme.  J’ai découpé le papillon dans du papier aquarelle, puis l’ai aquarellé en bleu, violet et vert. J’ai badigeonné un peu d’encre bleu clair sur le fond de carte, Pour terminer, j’ai simplement ajouté le sentiment embossé à chaud en blanc sur noir et 2 demi-perles argentées.

Here is my take on this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge. I chose to keep my card super simple, using a patterned paper for the background and the negative part of a die cut for the focal image.

Hello!

Orange, red and green … here are the colors Lisa has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. Gosh! That’s rather a challenging color scheme, at least for me … I could think of nothing else but flowers. I stamped the flowery branch on watercolor paper, colored it using watercolor and fussy cut it. To give my card a modern touch I used a black and white patterned paper on the background.

Orange rouge, et vert … telles sont les couleurs choisies par Lisa pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Un combo pas évident du tout, du moins pour moi. Je n’ai pas pu penser à autre chose que des fleurs. J’ai tamponné la branche fleurie sur du papier aquarelle, l’ai mise en couleur à l’aquarelle puis détourée. Pour donner un style un peu plus moderne à ma carte, j’ai utilisé un papier à motifs noirs et blancs en arrière plan.

Hi there,

Here is my take on this fortnight’s FUSION challenge. The sketch provided me with a new chance to showcase one of the stamps from the Taylored Expressions’ set. (I used the same set for the card for CAS(E) This Sketch 2 days ago). The photo inspired me the color scheme and the pink wood grain panel .

Voici ma participation au challenge FUSION de la quinzaine. Le sketch m’a donné une autre occasion d’utiliser l’un des tampons du set de Taylored Expressions (le même set que j’ai utilisé pour le défi CAS(E) This Sketch, il y a deux jours). Quant à la photo, elle m’a inspiré le combo et l’imprimé bois rose.

Hello!

Here is my take on the color palette Amy has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge. I love to pair yellow and grey, I think they make a perfect color scheme for a modern and non-gender baby card.

Voici mon interprétation du combo proposé par Amy pour le  challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. J’adore combiner le jaune et le gris et je trouve que c’est une association parfaite pour carte de naissance moderne et non genrée.

Hello!

Here is my take on the color palette Amy has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge. This rather « girly » color scheme inspired me a card dedicated to Friendship. I used the negative part of a splotch die cut as a stencil to blend some peach, pink and plum inks. The sentiment roughly means « A friend colors life »

Voici mon interprétation du combo proposé par Amy pour le  challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine . Ces couleurs plutôt girly m’ont inspiré cette carte célébrant l’amitié. J’ai utilisé une matrice de coupe pour réaliser un pochoir en forme de tache et créer un dégradé d’encres pêche, rose et prune.
