Hello!

Here is my take on this week’s Color Throwdown challenge and it’s another unusual color Christmas card. I had a lot of fun challenging myself to turn Lori‘s fall color palette into a Christmas card. Actually, I confess I cheated a bit , I used some copper foil for the rust.

Voici ma participation au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine et c’est encore une carte de Noël aux couleurs assez inhabituelles. Je me suis amusée à détourner le combo automnal choisi par Lori pour en faire une carte de Noël. Bon d’accord, j’avoue, j’ai un peu triché en utilisant du cuivré pour la couleur rouille.

Hello there,

Kraft, white and gold … surely one of my favorite color combinations for season’s greetings cards. It makes the third card I created using this week’s sketch at  CAS(E) This Sketch . I definitely love this sketch , it allows for so many possibilities.

Hello there,

 

This week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge is so inspiring that I created 3 cards using this great sketch. Here is the first one, a Christmas card featuring this big and fun « Ho ho ho » that I heat embossed in glittery red. But the nice shimmering doesn’t show on the photos 😦

Le défi  CAS(E) This Sketch de cette semaine est tellement inspirant que j’ai fait 3 cartes à partir ce chouette sketch. Voici la première, une carte de Noël avec un gros « Ho Ho Ho! » embossé à chaud avec de la poudre rouge pailletée. Hélas, on ne voit pas le scintillement sur les photos, 😦 on a juste l’impression d’un tamponnage manquant de régularité 😦 😦

Hello!

I come today with my take on this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. I stretched a bit the color palette Lisa has chosen. She had Halloween on mind and she asked for orange, grey and cream. For cream , I’m ok, but I assumed that copper could be considered as a shade of orange and that silver is suitable for grey. Here is what I came up with.

Voici ma participation au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Je vous l’accorde, j’ai un « peu » adapté le combo choisi par Lisa. Elle avait Halloween en tête et nous a demandé du orange, du gris, et du crème. Pour le crème je suis dans les clous mais pour le reste … j’ai supposé que le cuivre pouvait s’apparenter à du orange et que l’argent était une nuance de gris. Voici le résultat :

JUST US Girls #510 – Color week : « Purple, Navy and Green »

Hello Everyone,

I’m in a period of intensive Christmas card making and I’ve decided that all challenges are suitable for that purpose 😉 This week’s Just Us Girls challenge makes no exception and here is the Christmas card inspired by the color palette Sue has chosen. It’s definitely unusual colors but I’m rather happy with the result.

Je pense que cela ne vous a pas échappé, je suis en phase de création intensive de cartes de Noël. Aussi, ai-je décidé que tout challenge pouvait être l’occasion d’en faire une de plus 😉 Le combo proposé par Sue pour le challenge Just Us Girls de cette semaine ne fait pas exception. Voici donc une carte de Noël aux couleurs atypiques mais j’aime assez le résultat.

Une carte presque printanière pour un anniversaire d’Octobre

Bonjour,

Quoi de mieux qu’une carte d’anniversaire aux couleurs fraîches et presque printanières pour changer un peu des cartes de Noël qui ont envahi mon blog depuis quelques temps déjà … (Préparation d’un Marché de Noël oblige 😉 )

Elle répond à la nouvelle formule de challenge proposée par Eli29 sur le Forum Little Scrap.  Le principe est très sympa, Eli29 nous propose 2 cartes et nous demande de choisir un certain nombre d’éléments dans chacune d’elle pour réaliser notre carte :

Pour ce mois, il faut choisir 2 éléments dans la carte N°1 (j’ai retenu la toile de jute et le bouton) et 1 élément de la carte N°2 (pour moi c’est la branche de feuillage colorisée de plusieurs couleurs). En mixant ces trois éléments je suis arrivée à ça:

Hello!

A black and white snowflake, a grey thread, a grey ribbon bow and three lavender sequins … this makes my take on the color palette Jodi has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. Those colors are supposed to be for halloween, but since I’m not very keen on Halloween, I chose to go with a Season’s Greetings card. By the way, the 3 sequins are exactly the same lavender color, as you can see it on the second photo.

Un flocon noir et blanc, un fil et un nœud de gros grain gris, 3 sequins mauves …. voici ma version du combo choisi par Jodi pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Ces couleurs sont censées être pour Halloween mais, comme ce n’est vraiment pas ma tasse de thé, j’ai opté pour une carte de vœux.  Au passage, je précise que, comme vous pouvez le voir sur la seconde photo, les 3 sequins sont exactement de la même couleur.

I come today with another Christmas Card inspired by this week’s Just Us Girls Challenge. It’s trend week and Bobby wants us to use some frame. I decided to frame Christmas in a simple but rather baroque way.

Et oui, encore une carte de Noël. Elle a été inspirée par le challenge Just Us Girls de cette semaine où Bobby nous demande d’encadrer … et j’ai choisi d’encadrer Noël dans cette carte qui allie la simplicité à un je sais quoi de baroque …
