Broni has chosen a lovely very soft color palette for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge. Because it should be Mother’s Day all the year round and because I was dying to give a try to my new stamp set, I went with a card to send love to a beloved mother.

Broni nous propose un joli combo très tendre pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Parce qu’il n »y a pas de jour pour dire je t’aime à sa Maman et parce que j’avais très envie d’essayer mon nouveau set de tampons, voici une petite carte pour envoyer un mot doux à une Maman chérie.

Après la carte répondant à l’inspi, publiée hier, voici maintenant ma version du joli combo de mars proposé par Eli29 sur le Forum Little Scrap …

Elle a comme un petit air de famille avec la carte présentée hier. Et pour cause, j’ai utilisé une chute du tamponnage à motif rayé dans lequel j’avais découpé  un carré pour faire la carte de l’inspi.

Cela fait un bon moment que je n’ai pas pu honorer l’un des chouettes défis proposés sur le Forum Little Scrap … Alors, je suis ravie d’avoir réussi à trouver un peu de temps pour répondre à la magnifique inspi proposée par Kinna pour ce mois de mars.

J’en ai retenu les coussins à différents motifs verts ainsi que le gros bouquet de feuillages en arrière plan.

J’ai tamponné différents motifs en vert sur une chute de bristol blanc, puis j’ai découpé des petits carrés pour évoquer les coussins

Hi there,

It’s been a while since I’ve played along with FUSION and I’m glad to be able to join in the current challenge. I used the sketch and the inspiration photo to create a male birthday card. I confess it’s rather a simple and loose take on the sketch. I got inpsired by the clean and male atmosphere of the photo and by the colors too. To meet the sketch, I divided the front panel using a linen twine that also recalls the baskets sitting on the upper shelf. The sentiment is heat embossed using clear powder, I love this tone on tone effect. I added a bit of « wink of stella » on the feather but it hardly shows on the photos.

Cela fait un bon moment que je n’ai pas participé à un challenge  FUSION et je suis heureuse d’avoir pu trouver un peu de temps pour honorer le challenge en cours avec cette carte d’anniversaire masculine. J’ai utilisé la photo d’inspiration, et le sketch mais je dois reconnaître que je l’ai quelque peu simplifié. De la photo, j’ai retenu les couleurs et l’atmosphère clean et masculine.  Pour répondre au sketch, j’ai divisé le panneau principal en utilisant une ficelle de lin qui rappelle également les paniers que l’on peut voir sur l’étagère supérieure. Le sentiment est embossé avec de la poudre transparente, j’aime beaucoup cet effet ton sur ton. Pour terminer et donner un peu d’éclat, j’ai passé une peu de « Wink Of Stella » sur la plume, mais c’est à peine visible sur les photos.

Hello!

Here is my take on this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge. Barbara has chosen Hot Pink, Aqua and Kraft. I was dying to give a try to this new to me bear stamp and I knew exactly where I wanted each color to be. To be able do exactly what I had in mind, I’ve had to use a 3 step masking technique (I show you the 3 masks below)

La carte d’aujourd’hui répond au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Barbara nous demande d’utiliser du Fuchsia, du Turquoise et du kraft. J’avais très envie d’essayer ce tampon acquis récemment et je savais exactement comment je voulais utiliser chaque couleur. J’ai donc dû procédé par étape avec un masque différent à chaque fois (je vous le détaille plus bas)

Hello there,

 

Here is my take on this week’s sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch . I’ve been wanting to try the « alcohol markers on rhodoid » technique for a while. When I saw the sketch I had just received my new Sizzix toys and I immediately thought it was a perfect occasion to give a try to this fabulous technique. Here is the card I came up with. It was my very first attempt with alcohol markers on rhodoid and it won’t be the last.

La carte d’aujourd’hui répond au sketch proposé par CAS(E) This Sketch  cette semaine. Cela faisait un moment que j’avais envie de tester la technique des marqueurs à alcool sur du rhodoïd. Lorsque j’ai découvert le sketch, je venais juste de recevoir mes nouveaux joujoux de chez Sizzix et je me suis dit que c’était l’occasion parfaite. Voici le résultat. C’était un premier essai et ce ne sera certainement pas le dernier. J’aime beaucoup le rendu.

Hello!

Today’s card is inspired by this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge. Amy has chosen a bright color palette. I stamped the butterflies on various patterned papers featuring each of the required colors : Fuchsia, lime green and purple. I fussy cut them and adhered them on a grey panel using dimensional adhesive.

La carte d’aujourd’hui répond au challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine où Amy nous propose de jouer avec un combo de couleurs vives que je n’ai utilisées qu’en petites touches. J’ai tamponné les papillons sur différents papiers imprimés comportant chacune des couleurs demandées : Fuchsia, vert vif et violet. Je les ai ensuite détourés et collés sur un rectangle gris avec de la mousse adhésive.

Hello!

Here is my take on this  week’s  Color Throwdown challenge. Lynn has chosen a color palette that most certainly calls for a sweet Valentine’s card. But I felt like changing from cards and I chose to go with a set of bookmarks. I heat-embossed the flowers in black and then added splotches of color using watercolor.

Voici ma participation au challenge  Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Lynn nous propose un combo qui évoque plutôt la Saint Valentin, mais, j’avais envie de varier un peu des cartes et  j’ai choisi de réaliser un ensemble de marque-page. J’ai embossé les fleurs en noir puis ajouté de la couleur à l’aquarelle.
