CAS Colours & Sketches #463 – Double : Colours and Sketch

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s time for a new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches . It’s the last week of Jeanne ‘s hostess time and since it’s the fifth tuesday of this month she has a double challenge for you. This means you’ll have to play with both a sketch and a color palette. Here is my rather loose take on both of them. Once again, I chose to play with my watercolors and created a color block style watercolor background using the three challenge colors. A fish diecut stands for the horizontal strip of the sketch.

Et, puisque nous sommes le cinquième mardi de ce mois de mars, c’est doublé qu’elle vous a concocté. Cela signifie que vous allez devoir jouer avec à la fois un sketch et un combo. En voici ma très libre interprétation. Une fois de plus, j’ai sortie mes aquarelles et ai crée un fond façon « Color block » avec les trois couleurs demandées. Une découpe de poisson tient lieu de la bande horizontale du sketch.

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s time for a new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches .  Jeanne is  this month’s hostess and She has designed a great slimline card sketch for you to create with. Once again, I chose to go with a super simple card. I played with my watercolors to create these two colored shapes, added a stamped butterfly, a few ink splatters and that’s it.

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s time for a new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches .  Jeanne is  this month’s hostess and she has picked a lovely and almost summery color palette for you to create with. It inspired me a baby card showcasing this cute stamp that I colored using the challenge colors. I wanted my card to be very simple so I only added 3 bits of ribbons in coordinating colors.

C’est Jeanne qui anime nos défis de ce mois de mars, et, cette semaine, elle vous propose de jouer avec un combo lumineux, presque estival. Il m’a donné envie de faire une carte de naissance. J’ai ressorti cet adorable tampon Choux & Flowers et l’ai colorisé aux couleurs du combo. Je voulais que ma carte soit très simple, aussi, n’ai-je ajouté que trois petits bouts de rubans, également dans les couleurs du combo.

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s time for a new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches .  Jeanne is  this month’s hostess and she has designed a great sketch for you to create with.  I love sketches with « any non-geometric element » features, they allows for so many creative possibilities. My « non-geometric element » is a swirl of twine and the wavy line is made of several leafy diecuts.

C’est Jeanne qui anime nos défis de ce mois de mars, et, cette semaine elle vous propose ce chouette sketch. J’adore les sketchs qui comportent un composant de type « n’importe quel élément de forme non géométrique » , ils offrent tant de possibilités créatives. Pour moi, c’est un tourbillon de ficelle. Et, pour représenter la ligne sinueuse, j’ai choisi un collage de multiples découpes de feuillages.

CAS Colours & Sketches #459 – Colours

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s time for a new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches . March is there and Jeanne will be our hostess for all this month’s challenges and she’s starting with a lovely soft and spring color palette. I chose to play with my watercolors and I drew various round shapes using each of the three required colors. Here is the card I came up with.

Qui dit changement de mois, dit nouvelle hôtesse et, pour ce mois de mars, c’est Jeanne qui animera nos défis. Pour commencer elle vous propose ce combo de couleurs délicates et très printanières. Pour l’illustrer j’ai sorti mes aquarelles et j’ai composé un fond en traçant au pinceau une multitude de formes rondes/ovales en utilisant chacune des trois couleurs demandées. CAS Colours & Sketches #458 – Sketch

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s time for a new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches . To end her challenge hosting time, Yoonyoung has designed a great clean and graphic sketch for you to play with. It’s rather a classic and easy one, it allows for plenty of ways to interpret it. I chose to go with a loose take on it. I did stick to the square shapes but the ones I used are smaller than the ones on the sketch. Here is the card I came up with.

Pour terminer en beauté, elle vous propose un joli sketch très clean. C’est plutôt une classique du genre et il permet une multitudes d’interprétations. Pour ma part, je m’en suis tenue aux formes carrées mais j’en ai choisi de plus petits que ce que laisse imaginer le sketch. Voici ce que cela donne.

CAS Colours & Sketches #457 – Colours

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s time for a new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches  The color palette Yoonyoung has chosen for this week’s challenge gave me hard time. These three colors together always make me think of christmas or floral cards and I didn’t want to go with either of them. I wanted to give this color scheme an alternative style and I spent quite some time trying to figure out in which way to go. In the end, I chose to create a super simple masculine birthday card featuring a pennant garland. I die cut some pennants and stars in each of the required colors and that’s it.

C’est un défi combo proposé par  YoonYoung et les couleurs qu’elle a choisies m’ont donné pas mal de fil à retordre. Elles m’évoquent systématiquement soit une carte de noël, soit une carte fleurie et je n’avais envie de faire ni l’une, ni l’autre. J’ai donc passé un bon moment à essayer de trouver une autre voie. Au final, j’ai opté pour une carte d’anniversaire simplissime, plutôt masculine, avec une guirlande de fanions. J’ai découpé un fanion et une étoile  dans chacune des trois couleurs attendues et le tour était joué.

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s time for a new challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches  This week Yoonyoung has designed a great sketch for you to work with. You are free to use any shapes you might like instead of the ovals. I chose to combine 2 flowers and a foliage and I arranged them according to the sketch lay out.

Vous êtes libres de remplacer les 3 ovales par 3 formes de votre choix. Pour ma part, mon choix s’est porté sur des fleurs et un feuillage que j’ai agencés de façon à reprendre la disposition générale du sketch.

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s time for a new color challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. A new month is starting today hence we have a new hostess for this week’s challeng (and also for all February challenges) , it’s Yoonyoung and she has picked a lovely color palette for you to play with. Once again, I chose to play with my watercolors and created a background using the three required colors. I added red ink splatters and allowed myself to add a few gold acrylique paint splotches.

Nous débutons un nouveau mois et nous avons donc une nouvelle hôtesse pour tout le mois de février: YoonYoung. Elle vous propose aujourd’hui un délicieux combo. Je n’ai pas résisté à la tentation de ressortir mes aquarelles pour créer un fond aux trois couleurs demandées. J’ai complété par quelques projections d’encre de chine rouge et me suis autorisée à ajouter quelques taches faites à la peinture acrylique or.

CAS Colours & Sketches #454 – Sketch

Happy Tuesday and welcome to this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  It’s sketch challenge and this month’s hostess, Joanne,  has designed a great clean and graphic sketch for you to create with. It inspired me a rather naive thank you card featuring this pretty floral patterned paper that comes from an origami paper pad. For the focal point, I created a bouquet choosing diecuts and papers that recall the background paper’s floral patterns.

C’est un défi sketch et  Joanne, qui est notre hôtesse pour tout le mois de janvier, vous propose un joli sketch épuré et graphique. Cela m’a inspiré une carte de remerciement un brin naïve avec ce papier à petites fleurettes provenant d’un bloc destiné à l’origami. J’ai remplacé l’hexagone par un petit bouquet réalisé avec des matrices de coupe et des papiers rappelant les motifs floraux du papier de fond.
