CAS Colours & Sketches #453 – Colours

Hello!

Happy Tuesday and welcome to this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  It’s color week and this month’s hostess, Joanne, has chosen a very springy color palette for you to work with. I felt like a change from floral cards and I chose to go with a fun « Hello » card. I started by ink blending the 3 colors on a scrap of white cardstock and diecut the « hello » word and the tiny hearts out of this colored panel.

C’est un défi combo et  Joanne, qui est notre hôtesse pour tout le mois de janvier vous propose un trio de couleurs toutes printanières. j’ai eu envie de changer un peu des cartes fleuries et j’ai choisi de mettre en scène ce grand « Hello ». j’ai commencé par encrer une chute de papier avec les trois couleurs du combo puis, j’en ai découpé le « Hello » ainsi que les petits cœurs.

CAS Colours & Sketches #452 – Sketch

Happy tuesday and welcome to this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  It’s sketch week and this month’s hostess, Joanne, has come with a very simple design for you to create with. I just love minimalist sketches, they allow for so many options. I chose to go with a super simple card with very few elements and letting the « Happy » die cut do all the job.

C’est un défi sketch et  Joanne, qui est notre hôtesse pour tout le mois de janvier vous propose un sketch minimaliste. Ce sont mes préférés car ils laissent le champ libre à l’imagination de chacun. J’ai opté pour une carte, minimaliste, elle aussi. Avec très peu d’éléments et où la découpe « Happy » tient la vedette et fait presque tout le travail à elle toute seule.

CAS Colours & Sketches #451 – Colours

Hello!

I’m happy to welcome you to this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. It’s my very first card as new CC&S team member and I feel thrilled and a bit anxious at the same. This month’s hostess is Joanne and she has chosen a sweet color palette for you to work with. I felt like a change from Holiday cards and this color theme provided me witha perfect occasion to get back to flowers 😉 . Using the challenge colors, I randomly applied some watercolors on a sheet of water color paper then, after complete dry, I stamped various flowers and leaves over the splatches of colors. I fussy cut them and layered them to create a kind of bouquet.

C’est ma toute première carte en tant que nouveau membre de la DT de CC&S et je me sens tout à la fois excitée et un peu anxieuse. Joanne est notre hôtesse pour tout le mois de janvier et pour ce défi combo, elle a choisi une palette de couleurs douces; J’avais très envie de changer un peu des cartes de voeux et ce combo m’a fourni l’occasion parfaite de ressortir les fleurs 😉 . J’ai badigeonné de l’aquarelle sur une feuille en appliquant au hasard les couleurs du défi. Puis, après séchage, j’ai tamponné des fleurs et des feuilles sur les taches de couleur. Je les ai ensuite détourées puis assemblées pour former un bouquet.

CAS Colours & Sketches #450 – Celebrating a Milestone with a Clean and Simple Seasonal Challenge!

Hello!

I’m so thrilled and very honored to announce that I’m joining the fabulous Cas Colours & Sketches design team! I will start as team member on next january, but I’ve been invited to be guest designing for this special milestone challenge. It’s the 450th challenge celebration and also the last challenge for this year, you are invited to choose any of the color, sketch, or double challenges from 2021 and turn it into a seasonal card. I chose the #434 sketch challenge.

J’ai le bonheur et aussi l’honneur de vous annoncer que j’intègre la Design Team de Cas Colours And Sketches. Je commencerai réellement mon rôle de DT en janvier, mais en attendant, je suis invitée créative pour ce 450ème challenge qui est aussi le dernier de cette année 2021.  C’est donc un challenge un peu spécial et vous êtes invités à choisir n’importe lequel parmi tous les challenges proposés pat Cas Colours And SKetches en 2021 et d’en faire une carte hivernale. Pour ma part, j’ai choisi de revisiter le sketch du challenge #434

CAS Colours & Sketches #448 – Double Challenge

I come today with a card that was inspired by this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. It’s the fifth challenge of November so that means that it’s a combo and sketch challenge. The required colors are perfect for another non traditional Christmas card and the sketch is perfect for a clean and graphic design. Hence, here is a clean and graphic Christmas card that is anything but traditional 😉

Voici mon interprétation du challenge CAS Colours & Sketches de cette semaine. Comme c’est le cinquième défi de ce mois, il s’agit donc d’un challenge double associant un combo et un sketch. Les couleurs demandées sont juste ce dont j’avais besoin pour une autre carte de Noël aux couleurs non traditionnelles et le sketch, ultra graphique, appelle un design épurée. Voici donc une carte de Noël graphique, épurée et qui est tout sauf traditionnelle 😉

CAS Colours & Sketches #447 – Sketch

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by this week’s sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches.  As soon as I saw the sketch I thought of big ribbon bow for the vertical strip. And I chose a hot pink satin ribbon that makes nearly all the job and calls for a very simple design. I just added a black diecut snowflake and a gold sequin to finish my card.

Voici mon interprétation du sketch proposé pour le challenge CAS Colours & Sketches de cette semaine. En découvrant le sketch, la bande verticale m’a immédiatement fait penser à un gros nœud de ruban. J’ai choisi un ruban de satin rose vif dont la taille et la couleur appellent à une grande simplicité  dans la conception de la carte. Je me suis donc limitée à ajouter un flocon découpé dans du papier noir et rehaussé d’un unique sequin or.

CAS Colours & Sketches #446 – Colours

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by this week’s color palette over at CAS Colours & Sketches.  As usual I kept my card super simple with a lot of white space and just some hints of the required colors. I created a bauble using a circular sentiment that I heat embossed in silver. I added a silver twine, 2 diecut pine boughs an pink ribbon bow and I was done.

Voici mon interprétation du combo proposé pour le challenge CAS Colours & Sketches de cette semaine. Comme à mon habitude, je suis restée minimaliste avec beaucoup de blanc et juste quelques touches de couleur (celle du combo).  J’ai crée une boule de Noël avec ce joli sentiment en cercle que j’ai embossé en argent. J’ai juste ajouté un peu de ficelle argent, de branches de pin et un nœud réalisé avec du gros grain rose et rien d’autre.

CAS Colours & Sketches #445 – Sketch

CAS Colours & Sketches #445 – Sketch

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by this week’s sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches. I stayed very close to the sketch and chose to go with a super simple design, two die cuts , a heat embossed sentiment, a thread and that’s it. I love to play with unusual color palettes and the one I chose for this card makes me think of a chocolate box, isn’t it perfect for a Season’s greetings card.

Voici mon interprétation du sketch proposé pour le challenge CAS Colours & Sketches de cette semaine. Je suis restée très proche du sketch demandé et ai opté pour une carte simplissime, deux décopes, un sentiment embossé en or, fil et rien de plus.  J’adore jouer avec des couleurs inhabituelles, et celles que j’ai choisies pour cette carte me font penser à une boîte de chocolats … ne sont-elles pas parfaites pour une carte de vœux ?

CAS Colours & Sketches #444 – Colours

Hello!

Here is my take on this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. It’s a color challenge and the required palette is just perfect to add  another Christmas card to my stash. I kept my card super simple with plenty of white space to let the bright and festive colors pop.

Voici ma participation au challenge CAS Colours & Sketches de cette semaine. C’est un défi combo et les couleurs demandées sont parfaites pour ajouter une carte de Noël de plus à mon stock. J’ai résolument opté pour une interprétation minimaliste avec beaucoup de blanc pour faire ressortir les couleurs fortes du combo.
