CASology 397 – Type

Hello!

I come in a hurry to enter my card into the November CASology challenge. It ends in a hour and I absolutely don’t want to miss it. The cue word is Type and it provided me with a perfect occasion to showcase this pretty text stamp I bought last year and I yet didn’t get a chance to ink. I just love how it turns out when heat embossed in white on black.

Je passe en coup de vent pour poster ma participation au Challenge CASology de Novembre. Il se termine dans moins d’une heure et je ne veux absolument pas manquer le coche. Le mot clé est « Type » et cela m’a donné une excellente occasion de mettre en scène ce très beau tampon texte sur lequel j’avais craqué l’année dernière et que je n’avais pas encore eu l’occasion d’utiliser. J’adore son rendu lorsqu’embossé en blanc sur noir.

CASology 396 – View

CASology 396 – View

Hello!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve played along with CASology and I’m glad to be joining in the fun for this month’s challenge. The cue word is View and it inspired me a season’s greetings card featuring a little winter scene. I stamped the little snowy village on some white bristol, added just a few hints of colors using alcohol markers, a hint of green on the trees and some light grey shadings. Then I fussy cut the upper part to be able to layer it over a falling snow embossed panel, using dimensional foam. I ended by stacking a third layer with a die cut stitched opening.

Cela fait un bon moment que je n’ai pas participé à un challenge CASology et je suis heureuse de pouvoir entrer une carte pour le challenge en cours. Le mot clé de ce mois est « Vue » et cela m’a inspiré une carte de Noël représentant un village de montagne. Pour créer ce petit paysage hivernal  j’ai tamponné le village enneigé sur du bristol, j’ai juste ajouté quelques petites touches de couleurs avec des feutres à alcool (une pointe de vert sur les sapins, un un léger ombrage en gris clair) puis j’ai détouré la partie supérieure pour pouvoir le monter en 3D par dessus un rectangle gaufré avec un classeur de gaufrage « chute de neige ».

CASology 391 – Photo

Hello!

I come today with a super simple card that was inspired by the current CASology challenge.  I must confess the cue word, Photo, stumped me a little bit, I didn’t know which way to go. I rummaged through my stamps looking for something that could meet the purpose and this « Wild Animals » stamp set stood out to me. This fun giraffe face was just what I needed. I stamped it, colored it, fussy cut it and used several layers of foam tape to make it pop out of the polaroid frame to say hello. I don’t have any Polaroid frame die, I used a plain square die and it makes the job.

Voici ma participation au challenge CASology de la quinzaine.  Je dois avouer que le mot clé, « Photo », m’a laissée quelque peu perplexe au départ, je se savais pas quelle direction emprunter. Alors que je cherchais une idée en farfouillant dans mes tampons, ce set « Animaux Sauvages » m’est apparu comme une évidence. Cette tête de girafe était LA solution. Je l’ai tamponnée, colorisée, détourée et montée en relief avec plusieurs couches de mousse adhésive pour la faire ressortir du cadre  pola comme pour faire un petit coucou. Je n’ai pas de matrice de coupe « pola », j’ai donc « bidouillé »  à partir d’un die carré, et finalement cela fait parfaitement l’affaire.

 J’ai la joie et l’honneur d’être l’invitée créative de CASology pour le challenge de cette quinzaine.

 

Week 390 - OutsideThe new cue word is Outside. There are so many ways to play with the this theme . I chose to layer all the stampings outside the focal panel and even partly outside the card base. To add a bit of drama, I left all the stampings white but one which I roughly colored in bright red.

Le nouveau mot clé est Extérieur. Il y a bien des façons d’interpréter ce thème. J’ai choisi de le prendre au premier degré et j’ai donc positionné tous mes tamponnages à l’extérieur du point focal et même partiellement à l’extérieur de la base de la carte elle même.

CASology 389 – Dear

CASology 389 – Dear

Hello!

I come today with a super simple card that was inspired by the current CASology cue word : « Dear ». A perfect theme to create a card dedicated to friendship. I used a diecut to create a heart stencil and inked it in various shades of pink. I wanted this heart to be the star of my card and added very few elements only.

Voici ma participation au challenge CASology de la quinzaine. Le mot clé est « Dear », j’ai donc opté pour une carte sur le thème de l’amitié.  J’ai utilisé une matrice de coupe pour me créer un pochoir en forme de coeur et je l’ai encré avec différentes teintes de rose. J’avais envie d’une carte très épurée, minimaliste même, principalement centrée sur le message et, pour ne pas lui voler la vedette, je n’ai ajouté que très peu de choses.

CASology 388 – Hello

CASology 388 – Hello

Hello!

For this fortnight’s CASology challenge, the cue word is « Hello ».  I love this kind of theme which can meet any purpose. I wanted my card to be simple, bright and cheerful, just a little note to say someone he/she means a lot. I used some alcohol based markers to roughly color some white cardstock in coral, mint and light pink and then I diecut the word « hello » out of this colored panel. To add some interest I also diecut it out of some black cardstock and stacked the two diecuts with a slight offset.

Le mot clé de cette quinzaine chez CASology est « Hello ».  J’adore ce thème, il est parfait pour beaucoup d’occasion. J’avais envie d’une carte toute simple mais colorée et très gaie. Un petit mot, donc,  pour témoigner de son affection à quelqu’un, en toute simplicité. Avec des feutres à alcool, j’ai barbouillé du bristol blanc en corail, menthe et rose pâle. Puis, j’ai découpé le « Hello » dedans. Pour apporter un peu plus de contraste, je l’ai également découpé en noir et j’ai superposé le deux découpes avec un léger décalage.

CASology 387 – Comfort #2

CASology 387 – Comfort #2

Hello!

I come today with a second card inspired by the current CASology  cue word , ie « Comfort ». I used the same stamp set as the one I used on my first take. But this time, I showcased the sentiment only. Actually, before coloring the leaf branch for the first card, I made some watercolor tries on a scrap of paper and it occured to me that it would make a perfect backdrop for the sentiment. Here is what I came up with.

Voici une seconde carte réalisée pour la challenge CASology de cette quinzaine (mot clé « Réconfort »). J’ai utilisé le même set de tampons que celui de la première carte, mais cette fois, je n’ai tamponné que le sentiment. En fait, avant de coloriser la branche qui figure sur la première version, j’ai fait quelques essais de couleurs sur un bout de papier et, ce faisant, je me suis dit que cela pourrait faire un fond idéal pour ce joli texte. Alors, voilà ce que cela donne:

CASology 387 – Comfort

CASology 387 – Comfort

For this fortnight’s CASology challenge, the cue word is « comfort ». At first it rather puzzled me and I wasn’t quite sure which direction to go and then, I remembered of this stamp set I haven’t used in a while. It seemed to me that the sentiment could meet the purpose. Here is the card I came up with. I hope I didn’t stretch the cue word too far.

Le mot clé de cette quinzaine chez CASology est « Réconfort/ Soutien ».  Je dois bien avouer qu’au début je suis restée plutôt perplexe, ne sachant pas trop par quel bout le prendre. Puis, je me suis souvenu de ce set de tampons que je n’avais pas utilisé depuis un bon moment. Il m’a semblé que le tampon texte pouvait tout à fait coller au thème. Voici donc la carte que cela a donnée, en espérant ne pas être hors sujet.

CASology 386 – Long

CASology 386 – Long

Hello!

The current CASology challenge’s cue word is « Long », then, I took the easy way and chose to go with a quick to do birthday card featuring long elements only. A long computer printed sentiment, a long piece of twine and a long washi tape strip. I only added 2 dots for some extra dimension and interest. No stamping, no die cutting, card making has never been easier 😉

Le mot clé de cette quinzaine chez CASology est « Long ».  Alors, je ne me suis pas cassé le tête et j’ai opté pour une carte d’anniversaire avec uniquement des éléments tout en longueur. Un long sentiment imprimé avec mon traitement de texte, un long morceau de ficelle et une longue bande de Masking Tape … J’ai seulement ajouté 2 dots pour apporter un peu plus de relief. Aucun tamponnage, pas une seule découpe… réaliser une carte n’a jamais été aussi simple 😉

CASology 384 – FOX

CASology 384 – FOX

Hello!

When I saw the current CASology cue word, I immediately thought of that fun « Ori Kami Stamp set » from Altenew I bought quite some time ago but didn’t use till now. This challenge provides me with a perfection occasion to give it a try. I stamped the fox on a scrap of patterned paper and fussy cut it. The paper features some nice gold foil details but unfortunately they don’t show on the photos. I wanted this little fox to be the star of my card ,thus I chose a very simple lay-out without much embellishments.

Lorsque j’ai vu le mot clé de cette quinzaine chez CASology  j’ai tout de suite pensé à ce set de tampons façon origami, acheté il y a déjà quelques temps mais non  utilisé jusqu’à ce jour. Il attendait son heure et ce challenge m’offre l’occasion parfaite de le mettre en valeur. J’ai tamponné le renard sur une chute de papier imprimé et l’ai détouré. Le papier a de jolis détails or mais, malheureusement, ils ne sont pas visibles sur les photos.  Pour ne pas voler la vedette à ce petit renard, j’ai opté pour une mise en page minimaliste sans trop d’embellissements.
