JUST US Girls #491 – Trend week : Texture Paste (2)

Hi there,

I come again today with a second card for this week’s Just Us Girls challenge. Actually, I had so much fun with the texture paste Bobby wants us to use that I made several backgrounds using various colors and stencils. This morning’s card was definitely « girly », this one is truly masculine. I colored the texture paste with some green acrylic paint and applied it through a circle stencil. Then, I sprinkled some glitters before the paste to dry. I’m sure men appreciate a bit of bling too!

Et oui, je reviens avec une seconde participation au challenge Just Us Girls de cette semaine. Je me suis bien amusée avec la consigne donnée par Bobby qui a choisi de mettre en avant la pâte de texture, du coup, j’ai préparé plusieurs fonds. Autant la carte de ce matin était girly, autant celle-ci est masculine. Cette fois, j’ai coloré la pâte de texture avec de la peinture verte et l’ai appliquée en utilisant un pochoir cercles. Avant que la pâte ne sèche, j’ai saupoudré un peu de paillettes … je suis certaine que les hommes aussi apprécient une petite touche de « bling-bling » …

JUST US Girls #491 – Trend week : Texture Paste

Hello Everyone,

Here is my take on this week’s Just Us Girls challenge. It’s Trend Week and Bobby asks us to use some texture paste on our card. I used a heart die cut to create my own stencil and applied some modeling paste I had colored with pink acrylic paint. I started by the lighter one and gradually added some more paint to have darker tones for the 2 others. I ended up with a true « Just for us girls » card 😀 😀 😀

Voici ma participation au challenge Just Us Girls de cette semaine. C’est un challenge « Tendance » et Bobby a choisi de mettre en avant la pâte de texture. Je me suis bricolé mon propre pochoir avec une matrice de coupe cœur et ai appliqué de la pâte teintée en rose avec de la peinture acrylique. J’ai commencé par le cœur le plus clair puis ai progressivement ajouté un peu plus de peinture pour obtenir des tons plus soutenus pour les deux autres. Au bout du compte, c’est définitivement une carte « Juste pour nous, les filles » 😀 😀 😀

JUST US Girls #490 – Word week : RETRO

Hello Everyone,

Here is the card I’m joining in this week’s Just Us Girls challenge with. It’s word week and Sue chose « Retro ». I wanted my card to have something retro but still remain quite modern. I played with a vintage style stamp but kept my card very simple. Vintage is not my favorite kind of card but yet I was happy to get a chance to use this « old » stamp I had almost forgotten.

Voici la carte avec laquelle je participe au challenge Just Us Girls de cette semaine. C’est un challenge en un mot et Sue a choisi « Rétro ». Je voulais que ma carte ait quelque chose de rétro tout en restant assez moderne. j’ai donc opté pour un tampon de style vintage et une composition très épurée. A vrai dire, le vintage n’est pas franchement mon style de prédilection mais j’ai été heureuse d’avoir l’opportunité de ressortir ce vieux tampon que j’avais presque oublié et de lui redonner un petit coup de jeune.

I definitely have butterflies on my mind these days. I just couldn’t resist adding one on today’s card that was inspired by this week’s Just Us Girls challenge. Once again, I chose to go with very graphic and colorful card.

JUST US Girls #488 – Photo Inspiration and color week

I come today with a card I’m entering into this week’s Just Us Girls challenge. It’s color week and Maria asks us to pick any 3 colors from the inspiration photo. I kept my card super simple and chose to use colors on the background only with those three watercolor splotches..

JUST US Girls #487 – Bold Letters

Hello Everyone,

It’s been a while since I’ve played along with Just Us Girls and I’m glad to be able to join in this week. Nancy wants us to use bold letters on our card and it provides me with the perfect occasion to give a try to my new letter stamps. I chose to go with a clean, fun and very graphic birthday card.

Just Us Girls #432 – Color Week

hello there,

Cela fait un bon moment que j’ai pas participé à un challenge Just Us Girls et je suis contente de pouvoir proposer une carte pour le challenge combo de cette semaine. Nancy nous invite à jouer avec le turquoise, le marron et le kaki! J’ai un doute sur ma compréhension de « kaki ». A mes yeux, c’est plutôt un vert foncé brunâtre et je vois beaucoup de kraft dans les cartes de la DT. De toutes façons, ma carte est faite et la voici :

I haven’t been playing along with Just Us Girls for so long, I’m glad to be able to enter a card for this week’s challenge. It’s color week and Nancy has chosen turquoise ,brown and khaki … I hope I haven’t misunderstood « khaki ». According to me it’s rather a brownish dark green and I see a lot of kraft in the samples from the DT … Anyway, here is my card :

Just Us Girls #417 – Photo Week

Hi!

Pas de carte de Noël aujourd’hui, mais une carte d’anniversaire réalisée pour le challenge Just Us Girls de cette semaine. Judy nous propose une photo de tableau pour nous inspirer. J’ai choisi de ne mettre ni plume ni rien en rapport avec les oiseaux. J’ai tout misé sur une évocation du fond du tableau en jouant avec mes crayons aquarellables pour créer un fond composés d’une multitude de petites taches colorées. J’ai également utilisé une découpe « filet » (Simply Graphic) évoquant plus ou moins la structure entrelacée du nid.

No Christmas card for today but a birthday card instead. It’s been inspired by this week’s Just Us Girls challenge. It’s photo week and Judy has chosen a colorful painting for us to work with. I decided not to feature a feather nor nothing about birds in my card . But, I played with my watercolor pencils to create a background with multiple tiny colorful splaters that mimic the painting. I also used a die-cut that more or less recall the structure of the nest.

Hi there!

Encore un challenge d’Halloween et toujours pas de carte d’Halloween pour moi ! Pour le challenge Just Us Girls de cette semaine, Vicki nous propose un combo typique d’Halloween que j’ai décidé d’utiliser pour une carte de Noël plutôt atypique, elle, et assez moderne.

Another Halloween challenge and still not a Halloween take on it! For this week’s Just Us Girls challenge, Vicki has chosen a typical Halloween color palette I decided to turn into a non-typical-color Christmas card for a quite modern Christmas.
