Au menu du challenge Just Us Girls de cette semaine,  Nancy nous propose un combo qui, au tout départ m’a un peu laissée perplexe !!! Jusqu’à ce que je tombe sur cette chute de papier imitation bois … le reste est venu tout seul comme par enchantement avec un seul mot d’ordre : ambiance estivale.

Here is my take on this week’s Just Us Girls challenge. When I first saw the color palette Nancy had chosen for us I was unable  to envision what I could do with these colors. Then I saw a scrap of this blue wood grain paper sitting on my table … and that was the start ! the rest of the card came quite easily

Hello everyone

Encore un challenge pour lequel il m’a fallu trouver une solution pour pallier mon manque de matériel … En lisant le thème proposé par Vicki pour le challenge Just Us Girls de cette semaine , j’ai d’abord été très désappointée, je ne possède aucune de ces poudres « magiques ». Et puis, une idée m’est venue, je n’ai pas de brushos (ou autre) certes,  mais j’ai des crayons aquarellables  et je me suis dit qu’en grattant la mine avec un cutter cela pourrait peut-être le faire, j’ai essayé et …. victoire !!! ça marche !!! Voici donc ma carte.

When I first read this week’s Just Us Girls challenge theme, I felt very disappointed! Vicki asks us to use some powdered inks and I don’t have any of them ! Then, I gave it a second thought. I haven’t any brushos or any other powdered dyes but I have some watercolor pencils. Maybe I can make powders by scrubbing the mine of my pencils with a cutter blade. I gave it a try and … hurray!!! it works … I’m so happy to be able to provide a card for this challenge.
