Hello everyone,

This week again, I’m awfully late to welcome you to the latest Freshly Made Sketches challenge. And yet,   my card made with Karren‘s great sketch was ready on due time … Actually, I’m moving in two weeks and I’m very busy packing all my things and setting everything. Anyway, here is the card I came up with.

Cette semaine encore je suis affreusement en retard pour vous présenter le nouveau challenge Freshly Made Sketches  . Et pourtant, ma carte faite d’après le chouette sketch proposé par Karren était prête à temps! En fait, je déménage dans 2 semaines,  je suis en plein dans les cartons et j’ai encore une foultitude de détails à régler … Bref , mon blog est un peu délaissé.. Heureusement, j’ai préparé en avance des cartes pour les prochains challenges de mes 3 DT.

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the latest  Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  This week’s sketch designer is Kim and I love her wide open sketch.   For the vertical panel, my first intent was to use a large background stamp but I changed my mind and decided to create my own patten. I started by a bit of doodling using a green alcohol marker then I stamped the leafy branche several times in different directions without re inking each time. 

Je vous souhaite le bienvenue au challenge  Freshly Made Sketches.  de cette semaine. Kim vous propose un sketch très ouvert, les possibilités d’interprétations sont quasi infinies. Pour le panneau vertical, mon intention première était d’utiliser un grand tampon de fond. Mais, je me suis ravisée et ai eu envie de créer mon propre motif. J’ai commencé par un peu de gribouillage avec un feutre à alcool vert puis, j’ai tamponné la branche feuillue à de multiples reprises dans divers sens et sans forcément ré-encrer à chaque fois.

JUST US Girls #547 – Word week – Travel.

JUST US Girls #547 – Word week – Travel.

Happy Saturday everyone! It’s time for a new challenge over at Just Us Girls, It’s word week and Ina thought it would be fun to play with the word « travel » . How improbable as it might seem, I have nothing in my stash that could properly meet the purpose. While rummaging among my numerous patterned papers, I dug out a very old paper that could do the job. It’s a very vintage one and I decided to give it a modern look keeping my card super simle. I cut a circle out of it to recall an old terrestrial globe. I stamped the sentiment that means « Follow your dreams they know the way » and added an arrow shape paperclip to create a bond with the image.

 

C’est un challenge  « En un mot » cette semaine chez Just Us Girls,  et Ina  a choisi de vous faire « Voyager ».  Je n’ai pas grand chose dans mon matériel qui puisse coller au thème mais, en farfouillant dans mon stock de papiers imprimés, je suis tombée  sur une feuille achetée, il y a trèèèèèèèèèèèèèès longtemps,  qui pourrait faire l’affaire. Un papier très rétro que j’ai décidé de moderniser dans une ambiance minimaliste. Je l’ai découpé en cercle pour évoquer un globe terrestre vintage et j’ai juste ajouté un trombone en forme de flèche pour créer un lien avec le sentiment.

Welcome to this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  Linda is our hostess and she chose that « slimline »  was this week key word. It’s my very first card with this format and it won’t be the last . I really loved creating it. There are so many lay out possibilities. I chose to go with a long star garland that does all the job. I die cut various stars in different sizes out of various papers. 

Je vous souhaite le bienvenue au challenge  Freshly Made Sketches.  de cette semaine. Linda vous propose un sketch original vous demandant de créer une carte étroite, tout en longueur (ou tout en hauteur, selon ce que vous préférez). Pour moi, ce format est une première et certainement pas une dernière. Je me suis bien amusée avec. Cela offre tant de possibilités de composition. J’ai choisi de réaliser une longue guirlande d’étoiles courant tout le long de la carte. J’ai découpé plusieurs étoiles de différentes tailles dans divers papiers.

Hello!

The color palette Broni has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge was a very challenging one for me … When I first saw it, the only thing I knew was that I didn’t want to go with flowers but I had no idea at all of what I could do. And then, I remembered of this fun fruit stamp set. I stamped the pineapple on water color paper, colored it using some yellow, green and orange watercolor and fussy cut it.

Les couleurs proposées par Broni pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine m’ont vraiment donné du fil a retordre. Lorsque j’ai vu le combo, la seule chose que je savais était que je ne voulais pas d’une carte avec des fleurs mais je n’avais pas la moindre idée de ce que je pourrais faire. Puis, je me suis souvenu de ce set de tampons de fruits … je tenais ma solution. J’ai tamponné l’ananas sur du papier aquarelle, l’ai aquarellé avec les couleurs du challenge puis, l’ai détouré.

La grande Roue de Paris, le Jardin des Tuileries, la rue de Rivoli … my town … Hence, I just couldn’t do anything else but a very special card. Here it is :
