FUSION – Mother’s Day.

Hi there,

I come today with my take on this fortnight’s FUSION challenge. Though it may not be obvious, I did use the sketch and the photo as inspiration. The oval stands for the tag shape. The twig and the bold sentiment are for the two banners. As for the photo, it inspired me the love theme with this two loving birds. I hope I didn’t strech the challenge theme too far! 

Voici ma carte répondant au challenge FUSION de cette quinzaine. Bien que cela puisse ne pas être évident, j’ai suivi le sketch et ai utilisé la photo comme source d’inspiration. Un ovale remplace la forme d’étiquette, la branche et le sentiment tiennent lieu des deux bannières. Quant à la photo, elle m’a donné envie de faire une carte sur le thème de l’amour avec ce petit couple d’oiseaux. J’espère ne pas avoir poussé le bouchon trop loin 😉

CASology 389 – Dear

CASology 389 – Dear

Hello!

I come today with a super simple card that was inspired by the current CASology cue word : « Dear ». A perfect theme to create a card dedicated to friendship. I used a diecut to create a heart stencil and inked it in various shades of pink. I wanted this heart to be the star of my card and added very few elements only.

Voici ma participation au challenge CASology de la quinzaine. Le mot clé est « Dear », j’ai donc opté pour une carte sur le thème de l’amitié.  J’ai utilisé une matrice de coupe pour me créer un pochoir en forme de coeur et je l’ai encré avec différentes teintes de rose. J’avais envie d’une carte très épurée, minimaliste même, principalement centrée sur le message et, pour ne pas lui voler la vedette, je n’ai ajouté que très peu de choses.

Hello!

I come today with a card that was inspired by the color palette Wanda has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. Once again, I felt like playing with watercolor. I applied the three required colors using a flat brush, and, after complete dry I stamped the flower across the color blocks. I wanted my card to be very simple so I didn’t add anything else but the sentiment.

Voici mon interprétation du combo proposé par Wanda pour le challenge Color Throwdown  de cette semaine. Cette fois encore, j’ai eu envie de jouer avec mes aquarelles. J’ai donc commencé par appliquer les trois couleurs demandées avec un pinceau plat. Puis, après séchage, j’ai tamponné la fleur en travers des 3 bandes de couleurs.  Je voulais que ma carte reste très simple je n’ai donc rien ajouté d’autre que le sentiment.

Little Scrap: La bonne pioche de d’Avril

Bonjour,

La bonne pioche - avril 2021 Pioche31Voici le duo de cartes inspiration proposé par Eli29 pour la « Bonne Pioche » d’avril sur  le forum Little Scrap. Il s’agit donc de reprendre :

2 éléments de la carte n°1 : J’ai choisi le papier rayé noir et blanc (je ne pouvais vraiment pas manquer cette occasion 😉 ) et les feuillages.

2 éléments de la carte n°2 : j’ai repris les 3 rectangles (réalisés avec des tampons de fond) et le papillon (un de mes tampons chouchous du moment)

Bien sûr, j’ai ajouté un fil blanc, mon fil rouge personnelle pour toutes mes participations du mois aux différentes rubriques du Forum.

Little Scrap: Rubrique « Simplement Clean » d’Avril

Bonjour,

Je suis une grande fan de la rubrique « Simplement Clean » animée par Estelle  sur le forum Little Scrap . Ce parti pris de minimalisme me convient parfaitement. C’est même ce que j’affectionne par dessus tout (et pas seulement en carterie d’ailleurs) .

Pour le défi de ce mois d’avril, Estelle nous demande de constituer un cluster.  J’ai donc superposé 3 tampons détourés (2 feuillages et une fleur) et une mini étiquette avec le sentiment embossé en blanc. Elle porte également le morceau de fil blanc qui est mon fil « rouge » personnel du mois pour mes participations aux défis proposés sur le forum. Le tout est posé sur un petit rectangle aquarellé. Et oui, l’aquarelle sait aussi se faire très clean.  D’ailleurs, la fleur est également partiellement colorisé avec une petite touche d’aquarelle.

Hello!

Here is my take on the color palette Vickie has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. The colors are : Yellow, Orange, Red and Kraft. For yellow, orange and red, I knew at once what I wanted to do. I played with watercolors randomly applying the three colors. Then, after complete dry, I stamped the flower slightly offsetting the image from the color sploches. But I confess I was a bit puzzled on how to add some kraft hints. I thought of several options but was never happy with any of them. In the end, I decided to simply stamp the sentiment using Toffee Crunch Memento ink. 

Voici mon interprétation du combo proposé par Vickie pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. Le couleurs demandées sont : Jaune, Orange, Rouge et kraft. Pour le jaune, l’orange et le rouge, j’ai tout de suite su ce que je voulais faire. J’ai joué avec mes aquarelles et appliqué les trois couleurs un peu au hasard. Après séchage complet, j’ai tamponné la fleur en la décalant légèrement par rapport aux taches de couleur. En revanche, j’ai dû me creuser un peu la tête pour ajouter la quatrième couleur (le kraft). J’ai envisagé, en vain, plusieurs options, pour finalement me décider à tout simplement tamponner le sentiment avec une encre Memento « Toffee Crunch ».

CASology 388 – Hello

CASology 388 – Hello

Hello!

For this fortnight’s CASology challenge, the cue word is « Hello ».  I love this kind of theme which can meet any purpose. I wanted my card to be simple, bright and cheerful, just a little note to say someone he/she means a lot. I used some alcohol based markers to roughly color some white cardstock in coral, mint and light pink and then I diecut the word « hello » out of this colored panel. To add some interest I also diecut it out of some black cardstock and stacked the two diecuts with a slight offset.

Le mot clé de cette quinzaine chez CASology est « Hello ».  J’adore ce thème, il est parfait pour beaucoup d’occasion. J’avais envie d’une carte toute simple mais colorée et très gaie. Un petit mot, donc,  pour témoigner de son affection à quelqu’un, en toute simplicité. Avec des feutres à alcool, j’ai barbouillé du bristol blanc en corail, menthe et rose pâle. Puis, j’ai découpé le « Hello » dedans. Pour apporter un peu plus de contraste, je l’ai également découpé en noir et j’ai superposé le deux découpes avec un léger décalage.

I come today with a card that was inspired by this fortnight’s FUSION challenge. I played with both the sketch and the photo. I love poppies, they are such graceful and dainty flowers and I love their vibrant colors.

Voici ma carte répondant au challenge FUSION de cette quinzaine. Cette fois encore, j’ai joué la fusion, j’ai utilisé le sketch et me suis inspirée de la photo. J’aime beaucoup les coquelicots, ce sont des fleurs très délicates aux couleurs intenses et flamboyantes.

Hello!

I come today with a second take on the color palette Lynn has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. The first card was floral and in a rather naive style, this second one has a quite different look, it is a kind of mix of CAS , graphic and freestyle collage. I felt like freely playing with watercolors and that’s been the starting point.

Je vous présente aujourd’hui ma deuxième version du combo proposé par Lynn pour le challenge Color Throwdown de cette semaine. La première version était d’inspiration plutôt naïve, celle-ci est d’un style très différent. Un style que je ne saurais pas vraiment qualifier, d’ailleurs. Toujours clean mais mâtiné d’un je ne sais quoi de freestyle graphique avec  les aplats d’aquarelle qui ont été le point de départ.

Hello!

Here is my take on the color palette Lynn has chosen for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. I don’t use much DSP on my cards but the inspiration photo made me think of this pretty blue patterned paper. It is just perfect to mimick the china vases and I thought it would be fun to change my habits a little bit. And here am I with a card I wanted to be fresh and slightly naive.

Je n’utilise pas souvent de papiers imprimés sur mes cartes., mais, envoyant la photo, j’ai tout de suite pensé à ce joli papier dont le imprimés bleus sont parfaits pour évoquer les vases en porcelaine. Aussi me suis-je dit qu’il était temps de bousculer un peu mes habitudes. Et me voici donc avec une carte que j’ai voulue fraîche et plutôt naïve.
